The Mediterranean Corridor and the Ebro Axis
The European Union has established two key regions in the European context: the central London-Benelux-Ruhr-Milan axis, and the Mediterranean arc, which runs from Genoa as far as Murcia.
The Mediterranean arc is therefore a region rich in opportunities in which the Camp de Tarragona plays a key role. Not only because it needs to guarantee that the arc extends on to the south, but also as the point where it links up with the other great Iberian axis of the Ebro. This axis connects the Camp de Tarragona with the other economic centre of gravity of Spain, the Basque Country and the Cantabrian coast.
