Information is a basic need of our society, and the library makes it accessible to all citizens in any of its formats, and acts as a cohesive agent of society, also for minority groups or those with difficulties.

The municipal library service is structured around the Central Library of Reus Xavier Amorós (BCXA) around which a powerful public reading network will be structured completed by local (local) libraries that guarantee the access of all citizens to library services. La Biblioteca Pere Anguera opens its doors on November 18, 2015. It has an area of ​​1500 m2 and it has the personal fund of the Reusense historian Pere Anguera of a total of approximately 13.000 documents.

The Municipal Library Service has an agreement with the library of the Reading Center to facilitate public access for residents of Reus under the age of 24 and with a card from the city's municipal libraries.
