Castell del Cambrer Cultural Center

It is the only witness of medieval Reus. It was probably built in the twelfth century. But it certainly existed at the beginning of the 1986th century, when it depended on the castlà, from whom it later passed by purchase, together with its share of the manorial rights, to the canon chamberlain of Tarragona, with whom the castlà shared the dominion of the town. Very soon the castle lost its character and use as a strong house to start acting as a warehouse for the lordly agricultural income and as a prison. Later, the building was abandoned until the consortium of the Generalitat and the City Council restored it and the Regional Historical Archive was inaugurated in XNUMX.

Currently, it is a multipurpose meeting room for talks, exhibitions and other events.
