1.2 Reusable tableware

We make available to organizations, schools and neighborhood associations, among others, the following items of reusable crockery made with plastic or rice husk materials according to availability:

  • 250 ml glasses
  • 400 ml glasses
  • flat dishes

Users of the service must request the service fifteen days before the festive event when they request the license for recreational, cultural or sporting events through the electronic headquarters procedure.

In the previous procedure, you must click that IF "collaboration is needed" and indicate in the comments section of the "Requirements Annex" the number of glasses and plates needed for the party. Once the online request has been made, the environment department will contact the party organizer in order to process the request and assess whether there is availability of the service for the date indicated.

The reusable crockery service point is centralized at the central west waste collection located at Carrer d'Adrià Gual, 5. The crockery must be collected and delivered at these facilities by presenting the request on paper signed by the person in charge of the party and by the City Council. The return of the crockery must be made as soon as possible so that it is available for other users.

The crockery is washed from the reusable crockery service point and delivered to the user in optimal hygienic conditions. You must make good use of the crockery and return it in good condition. Non-return will be subject to a public price that will be indicated in the future by the corresponding tax ordinance.

1.3 Containers for selective collection of waste at festivals

In any event that takes place in the city and that generates waste, you can count on a tailored municipal service to carry out the selective collection of waste. The cost of this service is regulated by fiscal ordinance n.22. It must be requested at least 15 days in advance through the application procedure of the license for recreational, cultural or sporting events through the electronic headquarters procedure.

In the previous procedure you must click that SI "needs collaboration" and indicate in section d'observations of the "Annex of needs" that waste collection containers are needed for the event and a forecast of the number of containers needed. The technician will contact the person in charge of the event and assess the number and type of containers needed for the party.

The waste collection service for events has an associated cost and is covered by by-law number 22 and is subject to the approval of a budget. This service has bonuses depending on the type of entity that requests it.

2. Advertising Sticker No

It is still common to find non-nominal advertising in mailboxes. This is indiscriminate advertising that results in massive consumption of single-use paper that is usually thrown straight into the recycling bin.

To avoid this, the City Council makes it available to citizens a poster you can download to avoid receiving free advertising and thus reduce the volume of waste.

3. Tips to avoid food waste

We leave you different recipes to prevent food waste with different tips. The goal is that in our day to day lives we reduce food waste and make better use of the resources we have.
