Municipal homes for the elderly
The municipal centers are meeting and leisure spaces for the elderly. It can be accessed by people over 60 registered in the city, who must register at the reference center in the area where they live, although they can go and do activities at any of the existing municipal centers in the city. Access is free and you only need to fill out an application that will be given to you at the same center and hand in a photocopy of your ID.
Programming
The programming of the municipal houses has a great diversity of activities, which start in October and end in mid-June, stopping the activities in the period of Christmas and Easter. Some of the activities have a monthly cost such as gymnastics, relaxation, back health, computer workshop, memory workshop, dances, etc., and other activities, such as the Catalan workshop , the English one, the manual work workshops, the social gathering, the Seville dance, the Sardana dance, etc. they are free and run by senior volunteers with expertise in the activity they teach. The Casals remain open to future demands that may arise from their associates.
Outings and excursions are also organized from the boards of the different municipal centers throughout the course and celebrations of some traditional festivities in the center itself.
