Sports equipment
The city is a destination for sports. The equipment available facilitates physical activity, which is also promoted by the municipal company Reus Esport i Lleure through the annual program of sports activities.
Since the construction of the Municipal Olympic Pavilion, Reus has hosted several national and international sporting events. This fact linked to the prestige and projection of the city's clubs, the climate, communications, tourist interest and services, means that the city has the potential to become a center of reference in the reception of sports groups and organizations of various origins and a wide range of sports.
Facilities
Reus has numerous sports facilities, some of which are public. Thus, in 1992 the Olympic Pavilion was inaugurated to host Olympic hockey trials, and which is now the center of sports practice. In addition, it has five football pitches and a network of light sports facilities, through which the aim is to encourage grassroots sport and social cohesion.
Apart from the football pitches, the Piscines del Parc dels Capellans open every summer.
The range of facilities is completed with outdoor play areas, with basketball courts, football pitches and gym equipment.
