It is an aid that comes from public money and that is received by a person, an entity or a company that carries out an activity, carries out a project or has a need that is provided for in documents approved by the City Council, called the bases and call for the grant and which is the regulation that will govern all processing and its granting or denial.

Each grant indicates to whom it is addressed, some are to individuals, others to families, others to entities, companies, associations... You must read what the rules and the call for proposals say.

The call specifies the requirements that must be met in order to apply for the grant and the activities and/or projects that may or may not be subsidized.

The document that sets the deadline for the submission and completion of grant applications is the call. This is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province (BOPT) and in the Reus City Council's electronic website.

The grant application form usually already includes the documents that must be attached. However, these are also detailed in the bases and/or call for specific grants.

Once the application has been submitted, the department managing the grant reviews your application and all the documentation you have provided and checks whether you meet the requirements, and if applicable, will require the necessary documentation to be able to solve it

In the event that no documentation is required and/or the contribution is sufficient, a "resolution proposal" is processed to grant and/or deny the submitted applications.
Once they have been definitively resolved, the interested party is notified of the resolution by means of a publication on the City Council's "notice board". 

In the text of the bases and call for the grant, there is a justification section that details the deadline for justification and the documents you must provide.

In the bases and/or call is where it is specified when the actual payment of the granted grant will be made.

As a general rule, it is paid once the justification is approved.

Although, and as long as it is contemplated in the regulations governing the subsidy, they may do:

• Advance payment, in the form of an advance, as necessary financing to carry out the subsidized activity and which will consist of a percentage of the amount granted.
• Payments on account: installment payments that respond to the rate of execution of the subsidized actions, paying an amount equivalent to the justification presented.
