Golden Card

The Golden Card allows people over 65 registered in Reus to enjoy free services and discounts on cultural activities held in the city. The card is for personal use and non-transferable.

The Citizen Service Office (OAC) processes the Golden Card for all people over 65 registered in Reus. 

Golden CardEls free municipal services with the Gold Card are:

  • Entrance to the exhibitions at the Reus Museum and Mas Iglesias Image Center.
  • Entrance to the Gaudí Centre
  • Visit to the Distinguished Pavilion of the Pere Mata Institute
  • Free visit to the Enológica de Reus. Wine and vermouth discovery space.
  • Urban public transport (Before getting on the bus, have the card at hand. When you do, hold it close to the reader next to the driver's cabin. With the Gold Card you travel for free).
  • Mas Carandell training offer (Free subject to a minimum number of people enrolled in the course, as well as the specific conditions of each course)
  • Training actions of the IMFE Foundation for retirees (free of charge subject to the specific conditions of each course)

The services they have discounts with the Gold Card are:

  • Tickets to self-produced shows at Teatre Bartrina and Orfeó Reusenc (20% discount), at Teatre Bravium (10%)
  • Morning pass and daily pass to the Olympic Pavilion municipal gymnasium (30% discount)
  • Physical activities organized by Reus Sport and Leisure in municipal facilities (30% discount)
  • Entrance to the municipal swimming pools (30% discount)
  • Entrance to the Christmas Park: €3 for Gold Card holders (General rate is €4)
  • Discount on the amount of courses at civic centers (15% discount)
  • Gold hook, 6 euros per month for holders of the Gold Card (the general rate is 9 euros, in case of three consecutive months of subscription from the fourth the bonus will be 50%

How the Card works

Show your Gold Card to get the discounts detailed here. Remember that it is for personal use and non-transferable. The responsible staff may request identification, through the identity document of the person using it, to verify that it is being used properly.

The card that has an electronic device built in is used to access the buses. Get on the bus and hold your card to the automated readers next to the driver's cab. With the Gold Card you travel there for free.

 

Apply for the Gold Card

IMPORTANT NOTE! From May 16, 2022, you must make an appointment at the OAC to renew, make a duplicate or make a card for the first time. The Golden Card incorporates the user's photograph.

The Golden Cards issued without a photo due to the pandemic are extended indefinitely. The user does not have to go through any formalities and the same card remains valid to enjoy free Reus Transport buses and other benefits. By not bringing a photograph, users must identify themselves with their ID when necessary.

In accordance with Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the protection of personal data, we inform you that your data will be incorporated into a computerized file for processing and to facilitate communication and/or for the specific management of your request. The person responsible for the file is the Reus City Council, which guarantees confidentiality in the treatment of the personal data that is collected, as well as the implementation of the technical and organizational measures that guarantee their security. In addition, the City Council undertakes not to transfer them to third parties without the explicit consent of the user, except when necessary to carry out the requested management or when required by law.
