The essential function of the Holdings Organization Chart (QdOF) is to list and identify each documentary holding and each collection held by the Archive. It will therefore be the first informative and descriptive instrument of the archive's content.

FUNDS GUIDE

The Guide is one of the basic description instruments. Its aim is to provide information on all or part of the archive's documentary funds, providing generic data on the large documentary groups, on the history of the producing bodies and on the archive.

We understand by fons the set of documents of any kind produced by a person, organization or institution in the exercise of its activities throughout its life or existence. 

We understand by collection the set of documents gathered voluntarily with thematic, typological, geographical, chronological criteria, etc. by one or more persons, entities or institutions.

  • Fund of the local administration 
    • Reus City Council fund

It includes the set of documentation generated by Reus City Council throughout its existence, within the framework of its own functions and activities, i.e. government action, organization and administrative management, management of municipal assets, management of economic and financial resources, territory management (urban planning, works and mobility), sustainability and environment, planning and promotion of economic activity, education, culture, welfare and health and security and public protection.

  • Personal funds

We call personal funds the set of documents that a person has gathered throughout his life in the exercise of his professional, intellectual, economic activity, etc. 

    • Enriqueta Prats Auqué Fund 

Enriqueta Prats was born in Reus on September 6, 1928. She studied dance in Barcelona and, once back in Reus, founded the Artis Academy in 1947, the first dance school in the city. Pioneer in research on the dancer Rosa Mauri, whose figure she has highlighted and recovered their memory and professional career

  • Xavier Amorós Solà fund

Xavier Amorós Solà is a writer, poet and journalist from Reus, born on April 7, 1923 in Reus. His literary career began with poetry and theater but he soon abandoned those disciplines to devote himself fully to his most prominent talent, that of prose and personal memoirs. Among his most outstanding memorial titles, we should mention El camí dels Morts, Histórias de la plaça de Prim, Tomb de ravals and Strange times. Among the most important literary prizes he has won are the Santiago Rusiñol prize (1958), the Carles Riba prize (1964) and the Catalan Literature and Poetry Prize of the Generalitat of Catalonia (1982).

    • Fund Cels Gomis and Mestre

Formed by the set of documents produced and received by Cels Gomis and Mestre in the exercise of their personal and professional activities. In this last area, we highlight the activities carried out in the field of popular culture research and dissemination, from the perspective of paremiology, vocabulary, phraseology and oral literature, beliefs and religiosity. It is also necessary to emphasize the documentary references to his professional activity as a road and railway engineer that led him to participate in several public works, especially those of laying out the railway lines built from the last quarter of the 19th century.

We call commercial and/or business funds the set of documents that a trade or company has gathered throughout its existence as a result of its activity.

    • Fonds Ràdio Reus- Cadena SER

Set of sound documentation generated by Ràdio Reus broadcasts from 1935 to 2012. It consists of 743 sound recordings in digital format. They are, for the most part, self-produced programs broadcast by Ràdio Reus: news specials, reports, debates, colloquiums and gatherings, conferences, sports programs, music programs, advertisements and publicity, advertorials, voice-overs, magazines, interviews, etc. Nearly 280 hours of recording. The volume of the fund is 17,9 Gb. The documentation was digitized thanks to the Reddis Private Foundation.

 EThe funds of entities and/or associations include documentary funds generated by associations, entities, private groups.

    • Fons from the La Vicxeta Theater Group

Vixeta posterThe La Vitxeta Theater Group was founded in 1983 with the aim of grouping the theatrical initiatives of Reus, the region and area of ​​influence. Despite being an independent theater company that worked outside the Barcelona circuit, it should be noted that its activity, during its twenty years of existence, was intense and continuous. A record of more than 28 theatrical productions of which 400 performances have been made throughout Catalonia attest to his career. The Collective was disbanded in 2003. From 2004, some of the actors of the La Vitxeta Collective set up the En Veu Alta Collective, of the Reading Center Library, offering cycles of readings dramatized to this day. The fund includes documentation relating to its constitution, the entity's financial management, artistic production, communication and public projection and informational resources. It is worth noting the collection of posters referring to both theatrical programs and works performed. Includes a collection of photographs of the various works.

  •  Catalog of scrolls

Catalog of the parchments of the Municipal Archives of Reus between the years 1020 and 1350. In total, there are two hundred and eighty-six documents. Of all of them, some of the essential documents for the history of the city can be highlighted, such as the two population charters or the market and fair concessions.
